Josh McAdams released the YAPC::NA 2006 Conference schedule.
You'll have your favorites, but if you're new to the Perl community or conferences, Jim Brandt and I will provide a bit of a pep-talk and beginner's guide in "Conference For Beginners" which actually takes place on Monday morning before things get started.
There's quite a bit of Perl 6 content too, including "Learning Perl 6" by myself and merlyn, which means we're starting to write the next Llama book by test driving the topics in front of real people. :)

As a Chicagoan, and having recently decided to [href://http://chicago.pm.org|get more active] in the [chargrill|Perl community], I can only say that I'm really excited about [href://http://yapcchicago.org|YAPC::NA 2006] being in Chicago this year.
How many other monks, local or otherwise, are planning on attending?
Anyone interested in getting together at some point during the conference?
Incidentally, anyone else have the [href://http://yapcchicago.org|YAPC::NA website] blocked by [href://http://www.scdefense.com/sentian.asp|oppressive web filters]?

Only thing I noticed (unless I just missed it) is that it just says "Chicago" as the location, including in the FAQ. Sort of a big city .. Wasn't until I got a few levels deep in the wiki that I saw that it's at IIT (south of the loop; ~31st street)
How many other monks, local or otherwise, are planning on attending?
"Planning" is the big word; it'll depend on projects and the like. I'd love to go, esp. to take Damian's clsss.
Oh, and also to spend time with my cousin, and to hang out with my fellow dancers in Blue Lotus.

- Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
I'm giving the talk on Monday afternoon which is currently called "Lint" because it appears I'd completely forgotten to put a title on it. Whoops. If any of you are morris dancers, I've sent a note to Ravenswood to see if I can visit their practice on Thursday. Maybe I'll see you too?
