This unprepossessing little specimen originated in a conversation with [Corion] about getting as many punctuation marks in a row as possible whilst remaining valid perl:

Surely there's no limit on how many punctuation marks you can have in a row while remaining valid Perl. See Punctuation JAPH for example.
