According to this announcement of the birth of Geneva Wall, Perl was 3 months old on May 12 1987. We might therefore celebrate two Perl birthdays: Perl 1.0 on 18th December 1987, and Perl 0.0 on 12th February 1987. (BTW, Geneva Wall has since grown up and nowadays designs "hacker-safe" mirrors).
