Site Corrections

Just wanted to say great site.

I'm new to Perlmonks.org. I'm looking through the tutorials (since it's been a year since I have worked with perl). I have been making corrections. I see that others have also made corrections, some of which were quite a while ago without being fixed. Is this common or just the because people don't look at or update the tutorials offten?

Also I have noticed comments which have corrections, which have been fixed. Making the comment obsolete. Do these normally get removed to keep the clutter down, or is it normal to keep those comments?

Thanks

Lane

Now there's a good example. Just below a comment about "we keep everything," there's a deleted node. You can see that it's not even really deleted, just made less obvious.

Many of the tutorials have been updated to reflect corrections pointed out by others, however it is really the responsibillty of the reader to read all the responses to any tutorial for corrections and keep in mind that although someone may have posted a correction, that correction may not be accurate.
